The Linksemsische Schützengilde St. Georg Meppen-Esterfeld e.V. is one of the most important clubs in the Esterfeld district and shapes social life with its festival.
Emslandsaal Kamp — The Festival Venue
The venue for the Schützenfest is the Emslandsaal Kamp in Meppen, a traditional hall venue that is established as the festival center in Esterfeld. The hall offers space for the numerous club members, guests from friendly clubs, and the people of Esterfeld.

Bullenkönigschießen — An Emsland Specialty
The Bullenkönigschießen on the Tuesday after the festival is an Esterfeld specialty: a playful variant of the king shooting, where the king's title of previous years' dignitaries or a 'fun king' is often shot for. This tradition adds an amusing bonus day to the festival week.
