24th Season in the Pyrmont Spa Park
The Kleines Fest im großen Kurpark Bad Pyrmont is a staple of North German festival culture. The series, launched in 2002 by Kleines Fest GmbH, is connected to similar events in the Herrenhäuser Gärten in Hanover and other locations, but has developed its own intimate character in Bad Pyrmont. 2026 marks the 24th edition in the spa town and, for the first time, three evenings instead of the previous two.
The Northernmost Palm Garden North of the Alps as a Stage
The Großer Kurpark Bad Pyrmont is one of North Germany's most beautiful garden landscapes. The palm garden—the northernmost of its kind north of the Alps—houses around 16,000 Mediterranean plants outdoors during the summer. This extraordinary setting is transformed into a magical place during the Kleines Fest with light installations, sound sculptures, and stage designs. Visitors can enter from 3:30 PM and find a spot on the expansive grounds.
Acrobatics, Magic, Comedy, Circus
The artistic program is curated anew each year. Artists from the international street art and variety circus scene travel here: equilibrists, jugglers, clowns, improv theater groups, magicians, comedians, mentalists, acrobatic duos, and solo performers. Some acts perform on fixed stages, while others roam the park as walk-acts. The exact lineup will be announced by the organizer in spring 2026.
Fireworks as a Grand Finale
Each of the three evenings concludes with a fireworks display choreographed specifically for the Kleines Fest, illuminating the park. The pyrotechnics are synchronized to music and use the distinctive silhouettes of the concert hall and historic buildings as a backdrop. Many regular attendees reserve spots at strategic points by the lake or on the sunbathing lawns to best enjoy the finale.
Three Evenings Instead of Two — A Premiere
The expansion to three performance days in 2026 is a response to consistently high demand. Tickets have sold out in previous years, sometimes within hours. With the third evening, the organizer hopes to allow more locals and day-trippers from the Weserbergland region to experience this unique atmosphere.
Getting There Made Easy
A free shuttle bus connects the Bad Pyrmont train station with the Kurpark entrance. Those arriving by car will find parking in the surrounding multi-story car parks. The park is also reachable on foot from the train station in about 10 minutes.
