Klang und Glanz

With „Klang und Glanz“, one of the most refreshing wine and music open-air formats in the Saar region returns in 2026 after a break in 2025. The festival is organized by the initiative SAARKIND, an association of eleven young winemakers from the Saar, who are reinterpreting the region's image as one of the world's most renowned Riesling regions with contemporary, often experimental formats. The venue is the banks of the Saar along the L 138 near Wiltingen on July 11th and 12th, 2026.

Wiltingen is not chosen by chance: The town lies in the heart of the Saar wine region between Saarburg and Konz and is home to the Saar's most famous vineyard – the Scharzhofberg, whose Rieslings are among the most expensive and highly rated white wines worldwide. Other Wiltingen vineyards, as well as those in Schoden, Ockfen, Kanzem, or Ayl, also have an exceptional reputation. SAARKIND brings together the young generation of these producers.

Saturday, July 11th, is the wine and music day. A wine tasting by the eleven SAARKIND winemakers will take place in the afternoon, followed by a live concert program with free admission. Food trucks, a wine, punch, beer, and coffee bar, as well as a lounge, create a relaxed festival atmosphere. Sunday, July 12th, is designed as a family day: a craft market, a vintage car exhibition, street food, a mobile playground, and a children's concert are aimed at families from the region and day-trippers.

The format represents a new generation of wine marketing in the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer area: open-air, young, multimedia, and with a high affinity for music, culinary arts, and lifestyle. The two-day return in 2026 is a program highlight that wine, music, and enjoyment lovers from Trier, Saarland, Luxembourg, and France have been eagerly awaiting for months.
