Westerwald Village Kirmes
The Kirmes Boden is one of the traditional summer kirmes of the Montabaur Municipal Association and is anchored in the official 2026 Kirmes calendar of the Montabaur VG (as of October 2025). It follows a long line of Westerwald kirmes events that take place every weekend of the summer in different municipalities of the association, shaping rural festival life.
Four Days of Program
From August 14, 2026, to August 17, 2026, the kirmes offers a classic Westerwald program including the opening of the festival tent with a keg tapping ceremony, dance and disco evenings, Frühschoppen on Sunday with club participation, and a family afternoon with coffee, cake, and carousels. Food stalls, sweet shops, and drink stands complement the events in the festival tent.
Club and Village Life
The local clubs and the municipal administration are the organizers of the kirmes, pooling their efforts for the joint summer festival. The fire department, sports clubs, music clubs, carnival associations, and youth groups participate in the program and catering. This makes the kirmes more than just an amusement park: it is an expression of a vibrant village community and lived tradition in the Westerwald.
