Kirchtimke Outdoor Pool Opening

Season Kick-off for the Village Pool

The Kirchtimke outdoor pool traditionally opens its doors at the end of May for the summer season. With the pool opening on May 30, 2026, a four-month swimming season begins, lasting until September. The Friends of Timke-Bad Association uses this day to warmly welcome members, families, and bathers and to present the pool in top condition.

Run by Volunteers

The Timke-Bad, as the outdoor pool in Kirchtimke is affectionately called by many, is one of the beautiful examples of a village swimming pool run by volunteers. Without the tireless efforts of the Friends Association, the Tarmstedt collective municipality, and numerous volunteers, the pool would have long ceased to operate. Cleaning, maintenance, supervision, and program planning are largely carried out on a voluntary basis.

Family Day

The pool opening is designed as a family day. After the official welcome by the board of the Friends Association and a greeting from the Tarmstedt collective municipality, the first dip with the swimming school opens the season. Day guests can use the pools, and children receive special activities such as a snorkel treasure hunt or inflatable animal races. Catering with bratwurst, fries, salads, and cake ensures culinary well-being.

Pool and Facilities

The Kirchtimke outdoor pool features a swimming pool, a non-swimmer pool with a slide, a toddler pool, and an extensive sunbathing lawn. A beach volleyball court, table tennis tables, and a kiosk complete the offerings. The quiet, natural location on the outskirts of Kirchtimke makes the pool particularly attractive.

Season Tickets and Membership

Season tickets can be purchased and club memberships can be taken out on the day of the pool opening. Members of the Friends Association receive discounted admission and support the long-term maintenance of the pool.
