When the aroma from around the world fills the Hildegardplatz after the weekly market, it's street food time in Kempten. The Allgäu Streetfood Market — as a "Pentecost Special" — turns the central square in the city center into an international culinary mile for three days.
Numerous street food vendors serve specialties from across global cuisines, complemented by a diverse beverage selection. A continuous live music program with changing acts and DJs accompanies the event, turning the food experience into a summery street festival. Admission is free, and the venue is accessible.
Monday is Family Day: Visitors can save with a stamp card on food and drink purchases, and there are offers for children such as a bouncy castle and a craft corner. The event is organized by Mario Haupenthal & Patrik Schmidt GbR from Kempten.
Street Food Market Kempten — edition 2026
For the Pentecost weekend 2026, Hildegardplatz in Kempten will become a street food paradise from May 23 to 25. Numerous vendors will serve hearty classics and sweet highlights from around the world, along with drinks and live music.
Opening hours are Saturday from 5 PM to 11 PM, Sunday from 11 AM to 10 PM, and Family Monday from 11 AM to 7 PM. Admission is free.
