Kerwe 2026 in Reuschbach – traditional four-day Palatinate Kirchweih (church fair) in the municipality of VG Ramstein-Miesenbach at the end of September.
The Kerwe Reuschbach is the traditional Kirchweih (church fair) of the Reuschbach district in the municipality of Ramstein-Miesenbach in the Kaiserslautern district. From September 25th to 28th, 2026, the four-day Kerwe will be celebrated on the 4th weekend of September – a central date in the annual calendar of the Westrich community.
Reuschbach is located in the municipality of Ramstein-Miesenbach, in the Westricher Land region of West Palatinate. The small local community preserves its village identity through active club life, in which the Kerwe is the social highlight.
The Reuschbacher Kerwe is celebrated over four days, from Friday to Monday. Opening with a keg tapping ceremony on Friday evening, festival activities on Saturday with live music, the main Kerwe day on Sunday with Frühschoppen (morning pint), lunch specials, a Kerwe parade in the afternoon, and a festival evening, followed by Family Day on Monday with a Kerwe burial late in the evening.
As in every Palatinate village, the Kerweborsch (Kerwe boys), Kerweparrer (Kerwe pastor), and Kerwestrauß (Kerwe bouquet) characterize the festival events. The humorous and satirical Kerwerede (Kerwe speech) on Sunday afternoon addresses village happenings with Palatinate wit.
The local clubs – sports club, fire department, and others – provide the festival tent, bar, and catering. The menu features Palatinate classics: Saumagen (pig's stomach stuffed with pork and potatoes), Bratwurst (fried sausage), Leberknödel (liver dumplings), Schwenkbraten (grilled pork neck), fries, and Schmalzgebäck (fried dough pastries). Draft beer and Palatinate wine accompany the festival weekend.
For the residents of Reuschbach, the Kerwe is the social highlight of the year. Former residents return, families plan reunions, and the festival strengthens the community spirit among the clubs.
The 2026 Reuschbacher Kerwe continues the annual tradition. For four days, the festival shapes the festival grounds of the Westrich community in early autumn.
The exact 2026 program will be published by the organizer in the summer. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years:
