Franconian Kirchweih Tradition
The Kärwa Schwarzenbruck is the annual Kirchweih of the municipality in Nürnberger Land. It is organized by KVS Schwarzenbruck e.V. on the festival island on Dürrenhembacher Straße — four days of folk festival in convivial Franconian tradition.
Beer Tent and Amusement Park
The centerpiece is the beer tent with live music and hearty Bavarian cuisine. Around it, amusement rides such as bumper cars, swing boats, and carousels, as well as game stalls and shooting ranges, create a folk festival atmosphere for all generations.
Customs Around the Kärwa
The Kärwa is opened with the traditional beer tapping on Friday evening. Customs include the raising of the Kärwabaum (Kirchweih tree) on Saturday, a card game tournament in the festival tent, and a family afternoon with reduced ride prices.

The Kärwa Schwarzenbruck 2026 runs from July 3rd to 6th on the festival island on Dürrenhembacher Straße. The Kirchweih opens on Friday evening with the traditional beer tapping.
During the four festival days, the beer tent with live music, amusement rides such as bumper cars and swing boats, shooting galleries, and game stalls create a folk festival atmosphere.
