With Kartoffelsonntag, Fallersleben sets a clear cultural accent in autumn: the district celebrates a regional food deeply rooted in Lower Saxony's agriculture. Potatoes in All Variations

At the stalls along the old town alleys, you'll find classics and specialties: potato pancakes with apple sauce, fried potatoes, rosemary potatoes, potato soup, potato fritters, potato tapas, potato burgers, and sweets like potato fritter sticks with cinnamon and sugar. A specialty is the potato schnapps, produced by small distilleries from the region.

Craftspeople and Associations
