Spring Market on Three Promenades
The Kaiserbäder Blütezeit is an unusual market event: Instead of a central festival site, three small spring markets take place simultaneously on the promenades of the Baltic Sea resorts of Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf, and Bansin. This marks the opening of the market season on the island of Usedom – traditionally around Easter.
Regional Products and Garden Decoration
On all three markets, visitors will find a similar range of products with local focuses:
- Regional products from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
- Handicrafts from selected vendors
- Garden decoration: Plants, spring flowers, decorative items for garden and balcony
- Themed decorative items for Easter and spring
- Gastronomy with hot drinks and snack offerings
Market Miles Instead of a Big Event
The concept of parallel mini-market miles invites you to stroll around the island: Those who commute between the three Kaiserbäder resorts using the Usedomer Bäderbahn (UBB) can visit all three markets in one day and discover the Bäder architecture along the promenades. The municipality of Ostseebad Heringsdorf, to which all three Baltic Sea resorts belong, is located in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald.
Season Opening for Holidays and Island Visits
The Kaiserbäder Blütezeit is considered the kick-off for the main season on Usedom. Restaurants and hotels awaken from their winter slumber, and many events follow in the coming weeks. Easter, which often falls within the period of the Blütezeit, also brings family holidaymakers to the Baltic Sea.
