The Judas Priest Faithkeepers 2026 at the Loreley is undoubtedly one of the major musical events of the Loreley summer 2026 and the metal highlight of the year at the famous rock stage. Judas Priest, founded in 1969 in Birmingham, are among the founding fathers of heavy metal and have decisively shaped the genre with albums like “British Steel” (1980), “Screaming for Vengeance” (1982), and “Painkiller” (1990).

Singer Rob Halford, whose distinctive high voice and leather rocker image became the defining image of heavy metal, as well as guitarists Glenn Tipton and Richie Faulkner, represent a career spanning over 50 years with millions of records sold and countless sold-out world tours. With the “Faithkeepers” tour 2026 — the title alludes to the loyal fan base that has remained faithful to the band for decades — they return to the Loreley for a major open-air concert.

As Special Guests, two distinguished acts from the international metal scene will be featured. Dominum, a German power metal band, has rapidly built a fan base in recent years with their theatrical stage concept bridging symphonic metal and power metal. Thundermother, an all-female Swedish rock band, embodies classic hard rock in the spirit of AC/DC and Motörhead and has established itself as a fixture on the European rock scene. Both acts promise a top-tier supporting program.

The Loreley Open-Air Stage has hosted numerous metal greats throughout its long history — from Black Sabbath to Iron Maiden to Metallica. The Judas Priest concert continues this tradition, promising an unforgettable metal evening in the unique setting of the Loreley plateau.
