125 Years of Club History
In 2026, the Schwarmstedt Marksmen's Association of 1901 e.V. looks back on 125 years of tradition. Founded at the turn of the 19th to the 20th century, the association has shaped the social life of the community of Schwarmstedt through generations. The anniversary Schützenfest is being staged with special effort and is aimed at members, marksmen friends from the entire Heidekreis region, and the population of the Schwarmstedt municipality.
Three Days of Festivities
The anniversary festival begins on Friday, June 5th, 2026, with a members' evening starting at 6 PM in the festival tent. The evening will be accompanied musically by the MU-Kapelle Oldau. From 8:30 PM, the tent party opens for all guests, hosted by Dieter Reith. On Saturday, June 6th, the proclamation of the new marksmen's king begins at 11:30 AM, followed by the traditional festival dinner. At 2 PM, the festival parade forms, after which the children's carousel opens with 75 free rides. In the evening, starting at 9 PM, the Babis Partyband will play in the festival tent – admission 5 Euros. On Sunday, June 7th, a grand festival parade with three fanfare groups provides a crowning conclusion to the festivities.
Festival Tent at Am Beu
The Am Beu festival grounds on the outskirts of Schwarmstedt offer ample space for the large festival tent, amusement rides, and food stalls. The connection to the B6 ensures good accessibility from Hannover, Celle, and Walsrode.
Tickets and Festival Dinner
Tickets for the festival dinner on Saturday will be available in May 2026 at Wäscherei Sonntag in Schwarmstedt (Schlehenweg 10). The association recommends early reservation, as places tend to be quickly taken.
Community of Schwarmstedt
Schwarmstedt is the administrative seat of the municipality of the same name in the south of the Heidekreis district. The community is located at the confluence of the Aller and Leine rivers and is well-connected by transport. The anniversary Schützenfest is considered the social highlight of the club year 2026.

Festival Structure
The program follows a clearly structured format. Friday is for warming up with a members' evening and tent party, Saturday is dedicated to the proclamation of the king and the grand evening event, and Sunday culminates with the festival parade, brass concert, and family program.
Music Program
Four musical acts shape the weekend: MU-Kapelle Oldau (Friday early), Dieter Reith (Friday late), Babis Partyband (Saturday late), and three fanfare groups (Sunday). The program thus covers both traditional brass music and modern party music.
