Job4u — Training and Study Fair Oldenburg

For years, Job4u has been the central date for career orientation in the Weser-Ems region. The organizer is Job4u e.V., which brings together companies, administrations, universities, the Bundeswehr, and liberal professions in Oldenburg every year over one weekend.

Over 250 Training Professions

More than 250 training professions will be presented at the fair. From classic crafts and commercial apprenticeships to IT professions, nursing, gastronomy, and administration, as well as specialized professions — the spectrum reflects the economic diversity of the Northwest.

Study Programs

In addition to training, studying is an important focus. The Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, the Jade University of Applied Sciences Wilhelmshaven/Oldenburg/Elsfleth, other Lower Saxony universities of applied sciences, and supra-regional universities are represented. Advice on degree programs, admission requirements, study financing, and studying abroad is part of the offer.

Target Group: Students from Grade 8 Onwards

The fair is aimed at students from grade 8 onwards who are beginning their career orientation. School classes attend on Friday in an organized manner. On Saturday, families have the opportunity to visit the fair individually.

Opening Hours

Friday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (class visit day), Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (family day).

Hall 3 and Foyer of the Weser-Ems-Hallen

The fair uses Hall 3 and the foyer of the Weser-Ems-Hallen. These areas allow for both classic stand presentations and interactive hands-on areas where professions can be tried out in concrete terms.

Advisory Services

In addition to the company stands, there is a comprehensive range of advisory services — Employment Agency, Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Chamber of Crafts, Bundeswehr career counseling. Application portfolio checks, short lectures, and workshops complement the program.
