Model Jets on the Rise

Model aircraft with jet propulsion is one of the most demanding disciplines in RC model building. The models reach high speeds, require longer runways, precise control, and solid experience in handling turbines, fuel, and safety regulations. The Jet Rookie Meeting was founded 25 years ago as a format that offers an entry point to this demanding sports segment: beginners learn to fly jets in a protected environment, experienced pilots pass on their knowledge, and professionals demonstrate maneuvers.

25 Years Anniversary 2026

The 25th edition in 2026 falls in early summer (June 5th to 7th) and will be celebrated by MSC Condor Birkenfeld with an expanded program. Model aircraft pilots from all over Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands are expected with a wide variety of jet models – from small trainer jets to large scale models of historical and modern jet aircraft. Demonstration flights, special demonstrations, a celebratory evening with a live program, and anecdotes from 25 years of meeting history are planned.

Pilots and Spectators

Active pilots can register via the club website msc-condor.de. The contact person for the meeting is Winnie Ohlgart. Spectators are very welcome and can observe the flight operations from a safe distance – a fascinating experience, as model jets not only offer the typical jet look but also the characteristic turbine sound. Catering is available on-site, and camping accommodation is possible.
