About Jazz Services Worms
Jazz & Joy — one of the major jazz festivals in the Southwest
Jazz & Joy is one of the most prominent jazz and soul festivals in Southern Germany. For three days in August, Worms' market square, the Heylshofgarten, and several venues transform into a continuous festival mile with international headliners, big bands, singer-songwriters, and crossover projects. Thousands of guests experience this Worms summer event annually.
The Jazz Services as a Complementary Format
While the main program features stages and an open-air atmosphere, several Worms churches open their doors during the festival for a deliberately different format. In a meditative devotional form or as a concert in a sacred space, jazz musicians encounter an interested audience seeking a quieter, more intimate counterpart to the large open-air event.
