Four Wednesdays, Four Bands

BEGU Lemwerder e.V. is a community, meeting, and social club that fosters a diverse club life in Lemwerder. With the “BEGU on Wednesday” series, the club has created a concert format that brings new music to Lemwerder's summer every week in June. Four selected bands shape the four evenings. Admission is free, and the series is supported by the volunteer efforts of club members and small donations from the audience.

Rock'n'Roll, Sixties, and Classic Rock

The 2026 lineup features four bands with different musical focuses. The series kicks off on June 3rd with Larry and the Handjive, playing 1950s and 1960s Rock'n'Roll. On June 10th, Jester's Mind, a local rock band from Lemwerder, will perform. On June 17th, The Stingrays take the stage — a band that has been cultivating the “Rockin' Sixties” sound since 1965. The series concludes on June 24th with Highfield Lane playing Classic Rock.

Summer Tradition in Lemwerder

Over the years, the concert series has become a meeting point where regulars can reliably see each other again. Wednesday evening has established itself as the perfect date, cleverly balancing family, work, and the weekend. The open-air format on the BEGU grounds offers a relaxed atmosphere where you can dance, sit, chat, or simply listen.
