Jabelmannhalle Uelzen — Cultural Hub
The Jabelmannhalle is Uelzen's most important concert and event venue, hosting concerts, theater performances, readings, and comedy acts throughout the year. With its garden as an open-air extension, the hall can offer an additional performance format in the summer — as Jabelmanns Kultursommer impressively demonstrates.
Open-Air Concert Series in the Garden
The garden of the Jabelmannhalle transforms into an open-air stage in July. Seating, stage, and catering are temporarily set up. The open-air atmosphere, with the transition from day to dusk, creates a special concert backdrop that clearly differs from indoor events.
Klaus Hoffmann — July 9, 2026
Klaus Hoffmann is one of the most distinguished voices in the German singer-songwriter genre. With his poetic, often autobiographically tinged lyrics and a distinctive stage presence, he has built a loyal audience since the 1970s. Hoffmann is also an established actor in film and television. His concert on July 9th opens the series.
Clint Ivie — July 11, 2026
Clint Ivie represents the younger generation of German-speaking singer-songwriters. His program combines introspective lyrics with a modern songwriter sound.
Axel Zwingenberger Boogie-Woogie Session — July 12, 2026
Axel Zwingenberger is one of the great Boogie-Woogie pianists worldwide. With his virtuosic playing, he has shaped the genre for decades. A Boogie-Woogie session is an extraordinary open-air experience — the rhythmic energy of Boogie-Woogie and the summer evening atmosphere combine to create a characteristic concert format.
Sitting Bull — July 17, 2026
Sitting Bull is a major figure in the North German rock music scene. The band concludes the series with a rocking open-air concert.
Alternative to the Paused Open R Festival
In 2026, the traditional Open R Festival in Uelzen is taking a break. Jabelmanns Kultursommer thus takes on an important role as Uelzen's summer concert series and ensures the continuity of live music in an open-air format in the Hanseatic city.
