Year-round classical festival with Benedict Kloeckner and young virtuosos from around the world
The International Music Festival Koblenz (IMUKO) is one of the most important classical festival series on the Middle Rhine. The artistic director is the internationally acclaimed Koblenz cellist Benedict Kloeckner, who is sustainably shaping the city's classical music scene with his initiative.
IMUKO is a year-round festival with twelve to fifteen concerts between March and December. The focus is on young international virtuosos who perform together with Benedict Kloeckner and established ensembles such as the German Chamber Orchestra Berlin. The program ranges from classical and romantic (Haydn, Beethoven, Brahms, Schumann) to modern and contemporary works.
Several important concerts will take place in Koblenz in 2026:
Throughout the season, IMUKO concerts also take place at venues outside Koblenz, including Spay, Namedy, and Schloss Engers. The festival is thus firmly anchored in the Middle Rhine region.
The 2026 season is spread throughout the year and utilizes various venues in and around Koblenz. Detailed program and artist information will be published at internationales-musikfestival-koblenz.de/programm/2026.
