Inselglitzern – Usedom Winter Lights

An Island Aglow

The Usedom Inselglitzern is a collaborative winter lighting project by the seaside resorts in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district. From late November to early January, the island's promenades, spa gardens, and piers are transformed into an enchanting winter world. Daily from around 4 PM to 10 PM, the locations shine brightly – an experience for walkers, families, and holidaymakers during the cold season.

Light Installations with a Maritime Character

The light installations reflect the island's maritime identity: shimmering sails, softly glowing wave patterns, illuminated dune grasses, and radiant sun gates bring the Baltic Sea flair to winter. Large light letters stand in the spa gardens and on the promenades, spelling out "I LOVE USEDOM" – each resort contributes one letter.

Zinnowitz in Winter Light

The Baltic Sea resort of Zinnowitz also participates in the Inselglitzern. The beach promenade transforms into a sparkling winter wonderland, accompanied by a sea of lights, music, and the sound of the waves. The event makes the resort an atmospheric destination even in the off-season.

Winter Holidays on Usedom

Since its first event, the Inselglitzern has become a firm fixture in Usedom's winter program. It extends the season and invites visitors to discover the island even in the dark months – with an evening stroll along the illuminated promenades between the Baltic Sea and the dunes.
