Four-day folk festival on the Rhine promenade with live music, children's activities, and an oldtimer meet
The Ingelheim Harbour Festival on the Jungau is a four-day folk festival (Volksfest) on Ingelheim's Rhine promenade. The event is organized by IkUM Ingelheim, the city's subsidiary for culture, tourism, and marketing. Dates for 2026: July 24th to 26th, with setup phase starting on Thursday.
The Jungau meadow is a spacious grassy area on Ingelheim's Rhine promenade. The open, park-like grounds offer wide views across the river and are a popular spot for picnics and recreation in the summer. During the Harbour Festival, stages, stalls, a children's area, and the oldtimer display area are set up here.
Live bands, DJs, and acoustic acts perform on multiple stages, alternating throughout the day. The spectrum ranges from rock and pop to Schlager and cover sets from the local scene. The stages are positioned to provide sound across the entire festival grounds without acts interfering with each other.
An artists' market featuring arts and crafts, jewelry, ceramics, leather goods, and regional products gives the festival a market character. Vendors from Ingelheim and the surrounding region present their work.
The children's program includes game stations, craft activities, carousels, and interactive events. The Harbour Festival is designed as a family-friendly summer celebration.
One of the hallmarks of the Harbour Festival is the Oldtimer Meet. Enthusiasts showcase their vehicles – from pre-war roadsters and VW classics to American land yachts. The meet serves as a gathering place for the regional oldtimer scene.
