A Volunteer-Run Festival

IN.DIE.musik is one of the few festivals in Germany that is entirely run by volunteers — the organizer is the non-profit association IN.DIE.musik e.V. based in Hof. The team organizes the festival without the aim of profit. The focus is on a well-maintained, peaceful open-air atmosphere for the regional indie scene.

New Location on Nailaer Straße

In 2026, the festival is moving to a new location: the festival grounds at Nailaer Straße 2a in Hof, directly at the Hof-Neuhof S-Bahn station and below the well-known Freiheitshalle. This gives the festival enough space for a main stage, several food areas, and the family area. The festival remains a one-stage format — concentrated program, no set conflicts.

Awareness and Family Program

The festival has an official awareness team — contact persons for harassment, discrimination, or emergencies. Free drinking water is available at several water points. The 'Mütterclub' provides its own family and children's program — a special feature that many commercial festivals do not have.

Line-up 2026

Six bands from various indie and alternative genres will perform on the main stage: VAN HOLZEN (Berlin Alternative Rock trio), lovehead (Austrian indie rock band from Burgenland), chest, CAVA, kosmo, and Kaulbærk. The line-up covers a wide spectrum from pop-indie to rock and harder alternative acts.

Hof and Upper Franconia

Hof is located in the extreme north of Bavaria, in the Hof district, on the border with Thuringia and Saxony. The city with around 45,000 inhabitants is home to several festivals (International Hofer Filmtage, Wernigerstraßenfest, Symphoniker), and IN.DIE.musik contributes to its profile as a festival city. Sponsors include the City of Hof, Meinel Bräu, Stadtwerke Hof, and several regional companies.
