HUK-COBURG Run and Bike-Night

Team Principle Instead of Classic Fun Run

The HUK-COBURG Run and Bike-Night is organized by the Run and Bike-Team Coburg in cooperation with TSV Scheuerfeld and HUK-COBURG insurance. Instead of a classic fun run, the organizers rely on the Run-and-Bike principle: two teammates share a bicycle and decide for themselves during the race when to switch between running and cycling. The changeover zones can be chosen freely, and the distances are completed together.

Distances and Disciplines

In addition to the Run-and-Bike format as a 2-person team, classic Nordic walking distances of 8 km and 14 km are offered. The Run & Bike team event covers 8 km or 21.1 km (half marathon distance). There is a separate children's relay, which is offered free of charge. Every finisher receives their own medal.

Atmosphere and Supporting Program

The nocturnal character of the event is characteristic – starting at dusk, with illuminated routes. In the finish area at the TSV sports field, the supporting program takes place in a beer garden format with live music and festival catering. The number of participants is limited to 500, so early registration is recommended.

Coburg and the Coburg District

Coburg is an independent city in Upper Franconia; the district of the same name surrounds it. Scheuerfeld is a western district with the TSV sports field as a large club center. Travel by A73 (exit Coburg) or train to Coburg main station, then by bus or taxi to Scheuerfeld.
