Honky Tonk® — The Mobile Pub Festival

Honky Tonk® is the trademarked format of a mobile pub festival that tours over 50 German city centres — once a year in each city, always following the same concept. Bad Salzuflen is one of the established stops: around ten locations in the historic spa town's old centre per edition, one live band per location, a single festival wristband opens all doors. The local organizer is the Bad Salzuflen Business Association in cooperation with the Honky Tonk licensees.

2026 Date — Saturday, April 18

The 2026 edition is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026. In the opening block, The Nannys will perform from 6:00 PM in Villa Dürkopp; in the adjoining bar from 9:00 PM, the duo Blaney & Heuer will play a mix of Blues, Americana, Irish Folk, and Acoustic Rock. The remaining approximately eight locations and their bands will be gradually announced by the organizer in advance on honky-tonk.de.

Wristband System and Prices

Classic festival wristband concept:

• SAVER Wristband (Early Bird): €15 — Sale only until Sunday, March 22, 2026, limited to available stock. Exclusively available at Tanja G Wohndesign, Dammstraße 14 or online at honky-tonk.de.
• Advance Sale Price (from March 23): €18.
• Box Office: €20.

One wristband = access to all approximately ten participating locations for the entire evening. Those who switch between stages most frequently benefit the most — this is the festival logic of this format.

Musical Spectrum

Honky Tonk® focuses programmatically on diversity: a different band with a different genre per location. Pop, Rock, Folk, Schlager, 1950s Rock'n'Roll, Blues, Country, Americana, Irish Folk, Soul, Funk — the idea is that festival-goers *wander* through different musical worlds. Those who like Country stay in the first pub for an hour; those who want Pop then move two doors down; and late-night rockers end up with the cover band at the end of the evening.

Bad Salzuflen — Spa Town in the Lippe Region

Bad Salzuflen is a traditional spa town in the Lippe district in East Westphalia, located approximately between Bielefeld and Detmold. With around 55,000 inhabitants and a well-preserved half-timbered old town with a saltworks and spa park, the town is one of the classic North German spa resorts. With Honky Tonk®, the Business Association deliberately attracts a young, music-loving audience to the old town — a contrast to the traditional spa clientele, which the city marketing uses as a rejuvenation strategy.
