Hofschoppenfest at Weingut Fischer Wiesentheid — Edition 2025

The 2025 edition continued the long tradition of the Hofschoppenfest. For three evenings, the Fischer family celebrated with their regular customers and guests from Steigerwald, the Franconian wine region, and the wider area (Würzburg, Schweinfurt, Bamberg). Live music in the courtyard, Franconian delicacies from the Gasthaus Krone, house wines by the glass ('Schoppen') — a proven mix that has made the festival successful for years.

The concept of the Hofweinfest — drinking wine where it is produced — is gaining more and more fans in Steigerwald. Unlike at large, commercial wine festivals, here you can chat with the vintners themselves, learn about the grape varieties, vineyard sites, and vintages, and experience wine culture in its original form. Admission was, as always, free, and the atmosphere was familiar.
