Market around the Parish Church

The Herbstmarkt Pfatter is a classic rural market day in the Lower Bavarian Gäuboden. Stalls from regional providers line up on the market square and around the parish church; coffee and cake are served in the adjacent Voglmeier-Halle. The event is organized by the voluntary Arbeitskreis Kultur led by Christoph Ebner.

On the tables, you'll find autumn flowers, decorative and useful items for home and garden, handmade goods, crafts, and culinary specialties. A special feature is items bearing the Pfatter coat of arms – a connection to local heritage that the working group consciously cultivates. Since the pandemic, the market has replaced the traditional spring market.

Pfatter in the Gäuboden

Pfatter is a municipality in the district of Regensburg, about 25 kilometers east of the city on the Danube, in the transitional area to the Lower Bavarian Gäuboden. The fertile land shapes the agricultural structure of the region; weekly and themed markets are part of the rural identity. The Herbstmarkt is a deliberately manageable event that thrives precisely because of its local character – a market for the village community and the surrounding area.
