Four days of club life, amusement rides, and Sunday shopping in the car-free city center
The Heimatfest Adenau is one of the largest and most traditional city festivals in the Hocheifel region. For the 53rd time, the center of the historic Eifel town will be transformed into a car-free festival zone on the last weekend of August. Stalls, amusement rides, stages, and the club mile merge to create a shared festival atmosphere that involves the entire Adenau town life.
The highlight from the perspective of the local community is the club mile on Sunday, August 30th, from 12 PM to 5 PM. Local clubs, initiatives, and institutions present themselves along the main thoroughfares: sports clubs, carnival associations, aid organizations, music clubs, and youth groups. The club mile is a showcase of engagement and an occasion for recruiting new members and fostering casual encounters.
In parallel with the club mile, retail stores open their doors for Sunday shopping (12 PM to 5 PM). Adenau thus offers a classic dual format of family festival and shopping, which particularly attracts visitors from surrounding communities.
Amusement rides for families and young people, a dense food stall area, and several stages with regional music programs round off the Heimatfest. The city center is car-free during the festival days; a free bus shuttle commutes between designated parking lots on the outskirts and the festival center. This makes the festival easily accessible for families with children and for older guests.
The program for the town of Adenau will be published on stadt-adenau.de and will supplement the standard format with additional program points depending on the weekend.
The complete detailed program for 2026 will be published at stadt-adenau.de. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of previous years.
