Three weeks of Halloween with horror mazes, scare zones, and fireworks
Halloween has established itself as a major theme in German theme parks over the past few decades. Heide Park is among the pioneers and invests annually in a comprehensive themed production. With three horror mazes, a large scare zone, and numerous themed elements, the Halloween offering goes far beyond classic park decorations.
The three horror mazes are the core offering of the Halloween event. With elaborate stage sets, makeup artist effects, stunt performers, and immersive audio productions, the mazes guide visitors through different horror worlds. Each maze is tailored to its own thematic narrative and is updated or newly conceived each year.
The Scare Zone is a designated park area where costumed stunt performers surprise visitors with scares starting at 4 PM. This interactive shock production creates a special tension and distinguishes the Halloween experience from a classic park visit. Families with small children can still visit the park regularly during the day – the Scare Zone only activates in the late afternoon.
A Halloween rally leads visitors through the entire park, playfully conveying the Halloween theme. The highlight is the Halloween fireworks on selected evenings, which pyrotechnically crowns the themed production.
On selected days – Saturday, October 10th, 17th, and 24th, as well as Friday, October 30th, and Saturday, October 31st – extended opening hours from 12 PM to 9 PM apply. On these days, the full Halloween production unfolds with the scare zone, mazes, and fireworks. On other days, regular park opening hours are relevant.
For October 31st – Halloween Day – a reservation ticket is mandatory. This regulation aims to prevent overuse and ensure the experience for all visitors. Tickets are available via the Heide Park website.
The 2026 season continues the extensive Halloween program. With three horror mazes and the scare zone activated from 4 PM, the park offers a full program for horror fans, while families can enjoy regular park operations during the day.
The thematic focuses of the three mazes and the detailed program of the scare zone will be published by Heide Park in autumn 2026.
