Harvest Thanksgiving in Havelland

The Havelland Harvest Festival is Brandenburg's largest harvest celebration and one of the most well-known dates in the region's rural festival calendar. The venue is the MAFZ Adventure Park Paaren – a large event and experience area focused on agriculture, rural culture, and experiencing nature in the Paaren im Glien district of the municipality of Schönwalde-Glien, about 30 kilometers northwest of Berlin.

The 2026 Motto

The 16th edition carries the motto "Nurturing Roots, Sowing Future". It expresses what the festival has stood for over the years: honoring traditional agriculture, connection with the farming families of Havelland – but also looking to the future of modern, sustainable food production.

• Grand Harvest Wagon Parade with elaborately decorated wagons from the villages of Havelland
• Election of the District Harvest Queen
• Stage Program with regional artists and folk music
• Farmers' Market with specialties from Havelland: cheese, sausage, honey, asparagus, fruit
• Children's Program: petting zoo, tractor course, craft stations, straw bale labyrinth
• Demonstrations of old and new agricultural machinery
• New edition: "Stories from Rural Life" Story Competition

The MAFZ Adventure Park

The MAFZ Adventure Park Paaren is an event site covering 60 hectares and is considered a central location for major agricultural events in Brandenburg. The BraLa (Brandenburg Agricultural Exhibition) and the Brandenburger Landpartie also take place here. The Harvest Festival is the autumnal highlight in the park's event calendar.

Havelland Region

The Havelland district, west of Berlin, has been shaped by agriculture for centuries – famous for asparagus, fruits, and vegetables. The region between the towns of Nauen, Rathenow, and Falkensee is considered the "Garden of Brandenburg". With the Havelland Harvest Festival, the district honors this tradition every September.
