Harz & Heide – Consumer Fair Braunschweig

A Tradition Returns

For decades, the Harz & Heide consumer fair was one of the most important spring events in Braunschweig and the entire region between the Harz mountains and Lüneburg Heath. After a break of around 20 years, it returns in 2026 under new management to the Braunschweig Exhibition Centre. The comeback is the result of intensive preparatory work by Expotec GmbH, the City of Braunschweig, and regional business partners who have adapted the format to meet today's visitor expectations.

Three Halls, an Outdoor Area, 150 Exhibitors

The fair utilizes the entire exhibition grounds in eastern Braunschweig. Three tent halls with a total of several thousand square meters of exhibition space are complemented by a large outdoor area. Around 150 exhibitors will present their products and services – from regional craft businesses and medium-sized companies to supra-regional brands. The range of topics is broad: Home and Furnishings, Fashion and Jewelry, Garden and Landscape, Travel and Tourism, Health, Wellness, Beauty, Sports and Fitness, Regional Culinary Worlds and Delights.

Motto and Concept

The motto "Inform. Shop. Experience." describes the three pillars of the fair: Information through expert advice at the stands, direct purchasing of products and services, and the experience through tastings, live demonstrations, stage programs, and hands-on activities. Thus, the fair appeals to consumers of all generations and positions itself as a family event with real added value.

Opening and Supporting Program

The official opening will take place on Thursday, May 21st, 2026, at 10:00 AM by Mayor Dr. Kornblum. Over the five days of the fair, a varied stage program with live music, fashion shows, cooking shows, and thematic lectures will accompany the exhibition. Family programs on the weekend with bouncy castles, face painting, and interactive stations complete the offering.
