Riesstraße becomes a festival mile
Riesstraße in the center of Ritterhude is normally a busy shopping street. During the Hammefest, it transforms into an extensive festival mile with several music stages, carousels, food stalls, and catering areas. For three days, a festival atmosphere is created that leaves its mark on the community for the entire year.
Music, carousels, and fireworks
Regional and national bands perform on the stages, with genres ranging from pop and rock to cover bands, Schlager, and party music. Carousels and rides make the festival family-friendly. The highlight of the weekend is the fireworks display, which traditionally marks the end of the festival and gathers thousands of spectators along Riesstraße and the adjacent Hamme riverbanks.
