Large street music festival in Hameln's Old Town from August 28th to 29th, 2026, with 6 stages plus DJ zones
In contrast to many city festivals that combine music with craft markets, showmen, and food stalls, the Hamelner Pflasterfest is purely a music festival. The historic Old Town becomes a stage landscape, and the concerts are the sole focus.
A total of 6 stages plus several DJ zones will host performances over the two festival days. The stages are spread across market squares, courtyards, and alleys of the Old Town, allowing festival-goers to move between different concerts.
The program includes Rock, Pop, Soul, Punk, Jazz, and Electro. This diversity makes the festival attractive to different tastes and ensures there's always something new to discover throughout the festival.
Local bands from Hameln and the Weserbergland region, regional acts from Lower Saxony, and national headliners perform together. This mix supports the regional music scene while also providing supra-regional appeal.
On Friday, the festival runs from 5 PM to 1 AM, and on Saturday from 12 PM to 1 AM. This extends the festival atmosphere over nearly 22 hours of programming, offering hours of live music in the historic city center.
The Hamelner Pflasterfest is one of the most significant North German open-air music events set against a historic Old Town backdrop.
The final band lineup and stage assignments for 2026 will be published by Hameln Marketing und Tourismus on hameln.de.
