A colorful neighborhood festival in Nuremberg's trendy Gostenhof district
Gostenhof – known to locals simply as “Goho” – is one of Nuremberg's most vibrant and diverse districts. Located west of the old town, Goho is a colorful mix of long-time residents, immigrant communities, young creatives, students, and a dense network of clubs and initiatives. The neighborhood festival, held annually, reflects this diversity and is one of the district's most important social events.
The venue is the area around the Dreieinigkeitskirche on Müllnerstraße. In 2026, this neighborhood will transform into an open festival stage on Saturday, June 20th, until 10 PM. Clubs, initiatives, artists, and residents are jointly organizing a colorful program with dancing, music, performances, information stands, and hands-on activities for all generations.
The gastronomic offerings reflect the multicultural identity of the district: Turkish specialties, vegan and vegetarian options, Franconian classics, international street food stalls, and drinks from the many local eateries and initiatives in the neighborhood. The neighborhood festival is thus both a culinary journey and a space for encounters.
The festival is organized by a committee of volunteer residents (Reinhard Heß, Heinke Keblawi, Michaela Bauer, and others) in collaboration with the Nachbarschaftshaus Gostenhof (Gostenhof Neighborhood House), which serves as a central social hub in the district. The numerous clubs, initiatives, and working groups of the district use the opportunity to present themselves to the public – the festival thus also has a political and civil society function.
The 2026 edition of the Gostenhof Neighborhood Festival on June 20th follows the established concept of a neighborhood celebration, inviting all residents of the district to come, celebrate, and connect. Several stages are spread across the neighborhood around the Dreieinigkeitskirche, clubs and initiatives present their work, young artists perform, and families find activities for children.
The festival runs all day until 10 PM, with a dense and varied program. The multicultural gastronomy is one of the main attractions – Turkish, Asian, vegan, Franconian, international street food: the entire spectrum of Goho.
The detailed daily program will be published in due time by the organizing committee and the Nachbarschaftshaus Gostenhof at stadtteilfest-gostenhof.de. Basic structure:
