2026 Program — Cornerstones
The exact 2026 program will be published by the Garrel local chapter in late summer 2026. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of previous years:
- 2:00 PM: Festival opening, introduction of Johanniter Garrel
- 2:00 PM–6:00 PM: Hands-on first aid activities with training manikins and first aid courses for children, demonstrations by emergency personnel with ambulances and equipment
- For children: Bouncy castles, play stations, craft and painting table
- In the stage area: Stage program with music and performances
- Refreshments: Cake buffet with homemade specialties, sausages, drinks
- 6:00 PM: Festival end

Johanniter Garrel and their Family Festival
The Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V., Garrel local chapter is active in the southern district of Cloppenburg in the areas of first aid, emergency medical services, event medical services, and youth work. The annual family festival is one of the local chapter's most important own events – it serves simultaneously for public relations, member recruitment, and the financing of youth work.
Program for the Whole Family
The festival is aimed at families with children of all ages: hands-on first aid activities with training manikins, first aid courses for children, and interactive stations, demonstrations by Johanniter emergency personnel with ambulances and equipment, bouncy castles and play stations, a craft and painting table for the little ones, a stage program with music and performances, and a cake buffet with homemade specialties.
Social Commitment at the Center
The family festival is more than just a festive afternoon – it is an expression of the social commitment of Johanniter Garrel and its volunteer helpers. The proceeds from food and donations go to youth work (Johanniter-Jugend) and social projects of the local chapter.
