Spring Begins on the Mountain

Herxheim am Berg bears its name for good reason: the Palatinate wine village is located on a hill above the Rhine plain and offers a wide view over the Vorderpfalz to the Odenwald. When the first warm sunny days herald the Palatinate spring on the weekend before Easter, the Herxheim am Berg Winemakers' Cooperative opens its doors for the traditional Frühlingsmarkt.

First Bottled Wines of the New Vintage

The focus is on the presentation of the first bottled wines of the current vintage. The Winemakers' Cooperative serves its freshly bottled Rieslings, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Rosé wines, and sparkling wine. For wine lovers, this is one of the first opportunities of the year to get an overview of the style of the new vintage — early impressions that can be deepened later in the year by comparison with other Palatinate producers.
