Frühlingskirmes Gerolstein

For years, the Frühlingskirmes Gerolstein has marked the beginning of the showmen's season in the Vulkaneifel. With the first weekend in March, coinciding with the first spring sunshine, the fair opens the series of events that continues through the summer fair, St. Anna Fair, and other Volksfeste throughout the year.

Confirmed Rides 2026

The following attractions are confirmed for the 2026 edition, among others:

• Action Cars (Sonnier): A thrilling scooter ride with convertible cars, popular with teenagers and young adults.
• Mambo (Sonnier): A spectacular high-thrill ride – a classic of fairground attractions with impressive movements.

In addition, there will be classic family rides, children's carousels, food stalls offering Bratwurst, fries, and crêpes, sweet stalls with candied almonds, crêpes, and cotton candy, as well as shooting galleries and claw machines.

Location

The Frühlingskirmes takes place on the central festival grounds in Gerolstein and is easily accessible by car as well as on foot from Gerolstein train station.

Gerolstein – A Town of Showmen Tradition

Gerolstein has a long tradition as a venue for Volksfeste. The combination of its location on the Kyll river, its train station as a transport hub, and its traditional showmen's culture makes this Eifel town a fixed date in the Rhineland-Palatinate fair calendar.
