Founding Festival FFW Moosinning & Eichenried — 250 Years of Fire Brigade History

»Together we are strong — and 250 years old!« Under this motto, the Moosinning and Eichenried Volunteer Fire Brigades are celebrating an extraordinary double anniversary in the district of Erding in 2026. The Moosinning VF was founded on June 24, 1875, and turns 150 years old; the Eichenried VF was established on January 12, 1925 — its later founding was due to sparse settlement in the moorland — and is celebrating its 100th anniversary.

The celebration will take place jointly on the festival grounds Am Gfängbach between the two villages. For five days, a classic yet packed Bavarian fire brigade festival program will unfold: from the beer tapping ceremony with the Moosinning brass band, vintage car meet, and cabaret evening, to a senior citizens' afternoon, beer and wine festival, and the district fire brigade day with a family program and a grand parade on Sunday, which forms the highlight of the anniversary.

A double anniversary of this magnitude is a major social event in the district of Erding: neighboring brigades, clubs, politicians, and the public will come together. The Bavarian State Minister Hubert Aiwanger is expected among others for the political evening on Monday.
