About Flomersheim Advent Glow
The Flomersheim Advent Glow is a relatively young event in the Flomersheim district, which has established itself as a popular meeting point on the first Saturday of Advent within a few years. It is organized by the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Flomersheim (AGF), which brings together local associations, church communities, and initiatives.
Concept
Unlike the actual Flomersheim Christmas Market on the following day, the Advent Glow deliberately focuses on a reduced, convivial format: only a few stalls, but with braziers, light installations, and an open courtyard that invites visitors to linger. The district uses the event to foster community spirit and integrate new residents into the association life.
Offerings
Classic mulled wine, children's punch, and hot chocolate are served. For food, there are Christmas specialties such as bratwurst, tarte flambée, waffles, and sweet cookies. Most offerings are prepared by the associations themselves.
Transition to the Christmas Market
The Advent Glow takes place on Saturday evening and seamlessly transitions into the Flomersheim Christmas Market on Sunday, which is also held on the Kerweplatz and at the adjacent Zwiebelbrunnen. Visitors often combine attending both events.

- 5:00 PM: Opening of the Advent Glow on the Kerweplatz with the joint lighting of the braziers.
- 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM: Serving of mulled wine, children's punch, hot chocolate, and consumption of tarte flambée, bratwurst, waffles, and cookies at the association stalls.
- Late Afternoon: Short musical performances by regional brass groups or choirs.
- Transition: On the following Sunday, November 29, 2026, the Flomersheim Christmas Market will take place on the same square starting at 1:00 PM.
