Fischerfest Stein-Wendtorf

The 2025 edition of the Fischerfest followed the format developed over decades: opening in the afternoon, smoked and fried fish directly from the cooperative's fishermen, frying pans on the dike, live music until the evening. The organisers were the Stein-Wendtorf Fishermen's Cooperative together with the Tourist Service and the local clubs.

The Fischerfest is part of a seasonal calendar which, in Stein, traditionally also includes the Molenfest on the Steiner Mole pier and the Deichfest — three summer festivals that embody the Probstei lifestyle on the fjord. The atmosphere in 2025 was as always: relaxed, Northern German, characterised by small talk, seagulls, and the smell of smoked fish.
