Fire brigade festivals have a long and cherished tradition in Rhineland-Palatinate. In almost every Mosel village, the local brigades organize a summer festival annually, the proceeds of which go towards maintaining equipment, youth work, and the community life of the fire brigade. The Müden (Mosel) Fire Brigade Festival follows this tradition and has established itself over the years as a convivial meeting point for locals and weekend guests.

Müden is a picturesque Mosel village between Treis-Karden and Cochem, known primarily for its location at the entrance to the Eltzbach valley. Culinary offerings range from 'Schwenkbraten' (grilled pork neck) cooked over an open fire to bratwurst, fries, and Mosel specialties.

The firefighters themselves are the heart of the festival. They undertake all tasks voluntarily—from setup and dismantling to catering and stage technology.
