Festwoche 155 Years FF Griesstätt

The Griesstätt Volunteer Fire Brigade in the Rosenheim district (Upper Bavaria) is celebrating its 155th anniversary in June 2026. For six days, the marquee on the outskirts will attract clubs, fire brigades, and the entire village community — a classic Upper Bavarian fire brigade festival with brass band music, Franconian-Bavarian tavern cuisine, and a festive program.

The brigade was founded in 1871 and, with around 68 operations per year, is one of the active brigades in the Rosenheim district today. The anniversary celebration is an occasion for requesting patrons, a church procession, a festive service, and a ceremony — embedded in a folk festival-like atmosphere.

Embedded in the 2026 Whit weekend, the festival week brings regional clubs, friendly fire brigades, and guests from the entire Inn Valley to Griesstätt. Blue Light Day on Thursday is a meeting point for fire brigades from the surrounding area, while Friday features a joint Beer and Wine Festival with a Brotzeitplatte (snack platter) and wines from Weingut Dexheimer.

Griesstätt is located between Wasserburg am Inn and Bad Aibling. The festival week is part of the Upper Bavarian fire brigade anniversary year 2026 and is one of the defining club festivals in the municipality.
