Benefit Festival with Marksmen Tradition

The Fest der Bataillone is a special event in the calendar of the Schützenverein Lohne 1608 (Lohne 1608 Marksmen's Association). Unlike the traditional Schützenfest in July, which is the highlight of the club year, the Fest der Bataillone is a benefit festival open to all ages and interests. In 2026, it will take place on Saturday, May 30, at the Schützenplatz Lohne (Lohne Marksmen's Square).

The Association's Battalions

The Lohne 1608 Marksmen's Association is divided into several Bataillone (battalions) — a traditional, militarily influenced club structure dating back to its founding year of 1608. Each battalion has its own traditions, costumes, and activities. During the Fest der Bataillone, the different units come together and jointly organize a day that celebrates the diversity of club life.

Live Music and DJ

The musical program is diverse and energetic. Live bands perform in the festival tent — typically cover bands playing rock, pop, and Schlager hits, sometimes also party or country acts. Later in the evening, DJs take over with current hits, disco classics, and dance music. This creates a seamless transition from live music to a dance party, appealing to different audiences.

Children's Program

An important component is the children's program. This makes the Fest der Bataillone not just an event for adults, but a family festival. Bouncy castles, interactive games, face painting, candy stalls, and age-appropriate activities ensure that the youngest festival-goers also have a great time. Festival Tent and Catering

Catering is available in the festival tent — draft beer, wine, soft drinks, sausages, fries, and other snacks. This is classic Schützenfest catering, filling the event with the typical taste and smell of a North German club festival.
