A Village in the Tent
The Feller Markt und Weinfest is one of the oldest and largest folk festivals in the Trier-Saarburg district. The motto 'Ein Dorf im Zelt' aptly summarizes the festival concept: for four days, all village life is concentrated in and around the festival tent. Clubs, vintners, farmers, musicians, and families visibly bring together the diversity of the Schweich administrative district in one weekend.

The 2026 festival calendar runs from Friday, September 18 to Monday, September 21. Each day has its own character: Friday starts with the wine tasting 'HerWEINspaziert' and an after-wine party. Saturday brings the parade and official opening. Sunday is family and Erntedankfest day, Monday is the big animal show day with 'Frühschoppen' and cattle auction—one of the few animal shows that have survived as a folk festival element.

The wine tasting 'HerWEINspaziert' on Friday evening is one of the central wine highlights. The Feller vintners present their wines in a convivial, hike-like format between several stations—tradition meets modern tasting culture. The subsequent after-wine party extends the evening with live music and cocktails.
Animal Show and Harvest Festival
On Sunday, the family mass for the Erntedankfest takes place, with a children's program and dance groups. Monday is the big animal show day: local farmers present cattle, horses, and small livestock in the show, followed by a cattle auction and 'Frühschoppen'. Thus, the Feller Markt—typical for rural Mosel events—combines wine, customs, and agriculture in a cohesive festival weekend.
