Season start of the Bad Kreuznach Feierabendmarkt at Kornmarkt with SooNahe brand activation
The Feierabendmarkt (literally 'after-work market') at Bad Kreuznach's Kornmarkt is a weekly meeting point for connoisseurs, people after work, and lovers of weekend markets from April to September. On Thursday evenings, from 4 to 8 p.m., regional providers present wines, food, street food, and specialties from the region. The 2026 season opening falls on Thursday, April 16th, and is entirely dedicated to the SooNahe brand activation – the regional brand for sustainable Naheland products.
The Feierabendmarkt season opening is also part of the major Nahe Season Opening, which kicks off the season for the entire Nahe wine region from April 16th to 19th, 2026. It thus combines the urban enjoyment culture of Bad Kreuznach with the wine region and creates a lively meeting point in the heart of the spa town.
The Feierabendmarkt was created in response to the need for regional, fresh products and a relaxed meeting place in the open air. Unlike the classic weekly market, it takes place in the late afternoon – ideal for working people who want to shop after work and linger over a glass of wine or a snack at the same time. The Kornmarkt, with its Renaissance buildings and historic atmosphere, provides the perfect backdrop.
SooNahe is a regional brand of the economic development agency in the district of Bad Kreuznach, which certifies and markets producers from the entire Naheland. Wine, beer, fruit, vegetables, meat, baked goods, cosmetics, and handicrafts are bundled under the SooNahe umbrella. Many SooNahe providers will be present at the season opening Feierabendmarkt to present their products.
The stalls feature a mix of vintners from the Nahe region, breweries, beekeepers, farmers, cheesemakers, bakers, confectioners, chefs, and street food vendors. Pop-up bars serve wine by the glass, and food trucks offer hot snacks from pasta to burgers to currywurst. Live music or DJs create a relaxed after-work atmosphere. Seating is limited – many visitors stand or move freely around the market.
The Kornmarkt is one of the historic squares in Bad Kreuznach's old town – once a trading post for grain, now a venue and gastronomic center. Surrounded by half-timbered houses, cafés, and restaurants, it offers an attractive setting for open-air events. The spa town of Bad Kreuznach (around 51,000 inhabitants) is the administrative seat of the district of the same name and the center of the Nahe wine region.
The 2026 season opening of the Bad Kreuznach Feierabendmarkt takes place on Thursday, April 16th, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Kornmarkt. The focus is on the SooNahe brand activation with numerous regional providers. The date is part of the major Nahe Season Opening (April 16–19, 2026). Free admission.
The Feierabendmarkt will continue weekly on Thursdays from April to September at Kornmarkt in the 2026 season. The detailed program for the opening edition (music, participating vendors) will be updated by Weinland Nahe and the SooNahe initiative a few weeks before the date on weinland-nahe.de.
The exact 2026 program will be published by the organizer in spring. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years:
