The October edition of the Peine Feierabendmarkt is under the motto 'Herbstklang' and 'goldener Zauber'. The motto is reflected in the decoration, the selection of stalls, and the stage programme. Golden autumn leaves, warm light design, seasonal specialities like pumpkin, game, or windfall fruits, as well as a suitably curated music programme create a special autumnal atmosphere in the historic market square.

Regional Specialities

The stalls at the Feierabendmarkt deliberately represent the regional food diversity around Peine. Game from the surrounding forests, cheese from Lower Saxony production, bread from regional bakers, wine from neighbouring growing regions, and of course seasonal specialities like pumpkin dishes, Federweißer (new wine), and onion tart ('Zwiebelkuchen') characterise the gastronomic offerings.

Characteristic of the Feierabendmarkt are the lounge furniture, which are set up on the market square instead of the classic beer tables and benches.
