Fastnachtsumzug Ober-Ingelheim (51st Edition)

The Fastnachtsumzug Ober-Ingelheim is one of the largest carnival events in Rheinhessen. The organizer is the Ingelheimer Carneval Verein 1898 e.V. (ICV), one of the oldest carnival clubs in Rheinhessen, founded in 1898. The 51st edition will take place on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 2:11 PM.

Carnival Time 2:11 PM

As is customary for the Rhenish Fastnacht, the parade begins at the carnival time of 2:11 PM – the number 11 is the symbolic number of the Rhenish Fastnacht. The lineup of parade participants begins as early as 1 PM in the assembly area.

Floats, Dance Groups, Brass Bands

The typical structure of a Rheinhessen carnival parade: Floats from clubs and groups, ICV dance groups in historical uniforms, brass bands with powerful wind sections, walking groups in creative costumes, children's groups, and the Ingelheim royalty (Prince, Princess, and court). Thousands of spectators line the streets and celebrate along the parade route and at festival grounds.

ICV 1898

The Ingelheimer Carneval Verein 1898 e.V. looks back on over 120 years of history. It organizes the Ingelheim seated carnival events (gala sessions, ladies' sessions, youth sessions) as well as the street parade on Carnival Sunday. It is an important pillar of the Ingelheim club scene.
