Fashion Day Brandenburg an der Havel
Open-air fashion show on the Neustädtischer Markt
2026
About Fashion Day
Fashion Day — edition 2026
The Fashion Day 2026 will take place on Friday, September 4, 2026, on the Neustädtischer Markt in Brandenburg an der Havel. The open-air fashion show is the central event of a new, expanded format: instead of a single evening, the entire city center will become a fashion stage for a week. Decentralized locations at participating boutiques, pop-up shows, and styling advice will complement the classic show on Neustädtischer Markt in 2026.
The fashion show on the 50-meter catwalk will present the autumn and winter collections of the participating city center retailers. More than 100 amateur models of all ages — children, teenagers, adults, seniors — will walk for around 16 boutiques. Afterwards, the city center stores will extend their opening hours for a traditional Shopping Night with live music, sparkling wine reception, and special promotions.

The Fashion Stage of the Havel City
The Fashion Day Brandenburg an der Havel has been the city's own fashion event in the heart of the Neustadt for years. The Neustädtischer Markt, one of the central squares of the city between St. Catherine's Church and the Roland column, becomes an open-air stage once a year: a roughly 50-meter-long catwalk is set up, lighting technology, music, and a moderation team create a fashion show atmosphere – free and accessible to everyone who wants to get an impression of the local fashion scene.
Fashion from the City — by the People of the City
What distinguishes the Fashion Day from a classic fashion show: The models are not professionals. More than 100 amateur models of all ages walk the catwalk for the participating boutiques — including, regularly, Lord Mayor Steffen Scheller himself. Bridal fashion, outdoor specialists, evening wear, children's fashion, streetwear: around 16 city center retailers present their autumn and winter collections. The format is deliberately approachable — the people of Brandenburg show the people of Brandenburg what the local shops can do.
2026 — From Day to Fashion Week
In 2026, the Fashion Day will be significantly expanded for the first time. Instead of a single open-air show, the entire city center will become a fashion mile for a week: decentralized locations on Hauptstraße, at the St.-Annen-Galerie shopping center, and on Steinstraße, more participating retailers, and new formats (pop-up shows, styling advice, after-show shopping).
Shopping Night and Supporting Program
The Fashion Day is traditionally linked with a Shopping Night — the city center stores open in the evening, offer discounts, serve sparkling wine and snacks, and live music plays outside. The St.-Annen-Galerie shopping center also participates with events and extended opening hours. Those who want to make the most of the day can come to the fashion show in the afternoon, then stroll through the city center, and end the evening with a drink in one of the cafés on Neustädtischer Markt.
The City as a Backdrop
Brandenburg an der Havel — the namesake of the entire federal state — is considered the cradle of the March. The historic old town, the Neustadt, and the cathedral island form a cohesive ensemble of brick Gothic, Renaissance, and Wilhelminian-era buildings. The Neustädtischer Markt, with the town hall, St. Catherine's Church, and the stone Roland from the 15th century, is the perfect backdrop for an urban open-air event. Visitors to the Fashion Day can combine the day with a walk through the old town, a boat trip on the Havel, or a visit to St. Peter and Paul Cathedral.
