The traditional EBM festival on the Sandersleben sports field (Anhalt)
The Familientreffen Sandersleben is a phenomenon: a village festival with international ambitions, drawing the EBM scene – Electronic Body Music – from all over Europe to Saxony-Anhalt. Held annually since 2006, with the 19th edition in 2026, the "Sportplatz Sandersleben" has secured a firm place in the calendar for all those who love the pioneering electronic music of the 1980s – and its modern heirs.
EBM is essentially a genre of physical, repetitive electronics, founded in the early 1980s by bands like Front 242 from Belgium and D.A.F. from Germany. The scene is remarkably loyal, spans generations, is globally networked – and Familientreffen is one of the most important European meeting points. The 2026 lineup includes, among others, A Split-Second (Belgian EBM pioneers), Armageddon Dildos, DSTR, TÖT, Kalt, and many other bands and DJs from home and abroad. The complete lineup was released online on May 7, 2026.
The atmosphere is indeed familial. The "Sportplatz Sandersleben" is small, the camping is cozy, the stage area is manageable – but that's the concept. Those who come here either already know half the crowd or will soon. The festival is organized via the website; a tent service via pier-and-peer.com makes travel easier.
Sandersleben (Anhalt) is a district of the town of Arnstein in the Mansfeld-Südharz district, on the edge of the Harz foothills. State: Saxony-Anhalt. The region is shaped by the former Mansfeld copper shale mining industry – a piece of industrial history that fits almost ironically with the post-industrial EBM aesthetic.
The complete lineup was released online on May 7, 2026, followed by stage times on April 25. Confirmed acts include: A Split-Second (BE), Armageddon Dildos (DE), DSTR, TÖT, Kalt, and other bands and DJs.
