ETB Family Days – Messe Idar-Oberstein (December)

The second weekend of the ETB Family Days follows the same format as the November date: bouncy castles of various sizes, climbing modules, slides, ball pits, and age-appropriate play areas will be set up in the Messehalle Idar-Oberstein. Unlike the first weekend, the December date falls within the Advent season, attracting additional visitors from the surrounding area: those looking for a weather-independent family program on the weekend will find a reliable alternative to Christmas markets and mulled wine evenings here.

The event logic remains simple: one admission price valid for the whole day, continuous play from 10 am to 6 pm, catering with coffee, cake, warm snacks, and drinks in the hall. Parents can retreat during breaks while children switch between attractions independently. The equipment is zoned by age; a separate area for babies and toddlers prevents overstimulation. Security personnel ensure correct usage; comfortable clothing and socks are required.

The ETB Family Days have now established themselves in the region as two event dates that regularly fall in the weeks leading up to school holidays. For families from the Birkenfeld district and the adjacent Saarland, the journey to Idar-Oberstein via the A 62 is short; the exhibition hall is conveniently located and offers ample parking.
