An Old Agricultural Tradition
For centuries, the Ernteball was an integral part of the village year in the North German marshlands: once the grain was harvested, the beets were cleared, and the fields were sown, the farming community would gather to celebrate the harvest. Getting There
By car via the B5 (exit Meldorf) and then via country roads to Windbergen — approximately 6 km east of Meldorf. Parking is available directly at the Landgasthof Zur Linde. By train to Meldorf (Marschbahn), then take a bus or taxi to Windbergen (approx. 10 km).
Dress Code
An Ernteball is traditionally a more formal occasion — many guests wear festive attire. A suit or smart casual wear is recommended.
