Erba Open Airs — Three Open-Air Saturdays by Lake Constance-Allgäu

On three Saturdays in summer 2026 — July 18, August 15, and August 29 — the Erba Open Airs will transform the Argenwiese in Wangen im Allgäu into an open-air stage. The former Landesgartenschau-Gelände (State Garden Show grounds) on the Argen island forms a unique island stage with an "open-air atmosphere" amidst water, meadows, and trees.

The summer kickoff focuses on nostalgia and good vibes: 80s hits, disco classics, and pop earworms. Ideal for guests who want to enjoy a relaxed summer open-air evening with a family-friendly disco atmosphere.

Mid-summer edition focusing on club sounds, House, and electronic dance music for the younger generation.

Season finale with Afro House and Techno — the more intense and dance-focused edition to end the summer.

Argenwiese and the Erba Grounds

The Argenwiese is part of the Erba area — the grounds of the former Erba factory (Erlanger Baumwoll-Industrie), which was redeveloped for the 2024 State Garden Show in Wangen im Allgäu. Since the garden show, the grounds have been permanently accessible as a recreational area and are used for open-air events. The island stage between the Argen river arms has its own charm and special acoustics.

Wangen im Allgäu — Half-Timbered Town in the West Allgäu

With around 27,000 inhabitants, Wangen im Allgäu is the largest town in the Ravensburg district in the West Allgäu region. The historic half-timbered old town with its market square, Frauentor, Pfaffenturm, and Liebfrauenkirche is among the most beautiful in Southern Germany. Wangen is located between Lake Constance and the Allgäu Alps — an attractive location that also makes the festival appealing to day-trippers from Bregenz, Lindau, Friedrichshafen, Memmingen, and Ravensburg. The nearby skyline with Alpine views (Säntis, Hochgrat) enhances the stage experience.

The festival is organized by hot like beats — an organizer from the Allgäu region specializing in electronic music and open-air formats. The concept focuses on a mix of "enjoying, dancing, meeting people" in a relaxed community atmosphere — an alternative to large, anonymous festivals.
